This large but cozy Family Room with its circle of red leather club chairs is in front of the gas fireplace, and is adjacent to the kitchen and an intimate dining area. The wide plank, antique heart-pine floors were cut specially for the Lodge from beams that had earlier been used to build tobacco barns in the Carolinas.

The four patio doors open directly onto the lawn, creating a visual connection to miles of stellar bay views as well as the lights of Traverse City in the evening.

Above the Family Room the catwalk connects the upper suite and a loft sitting area.
