The
north, upper suite is large, yet very cozy and private.
A balcony overlooking the woods and the bay is a perfect
spot for morning coffee in the sun, interrupted only by
the sounds of woodland birds and seagulls over the bay.
There are two distinct sitting areas in the suite, one with
a bay view and the other overlooking the meadows. |

Entering
the protected north suite through double doors. |

| The
suite is spacious, yet the massive roof beams give a sense
of being hidden away in an intimate place. |

| The
tub is set on the stone floor of the bath near the entrance
to the steam shower, and allows a view of the treetops on
the north side of the property. |

| The
distinctive twig cabinetry seen throughout the lodge is
the work of artisan Larry Hawkins. Twin sinks set atop the
polished stone countertop. |

| The
bedroom itself has an intimate reading and relaxing area,
quiet and hidden away from the rest of the lodge. |

| The
balcony off the loft in the north suite. |

meadows and hills under snowcover, March 2007. |
